An update on the damage at the Club

Further information has now come to light regarding the incident on Sunday 4 Jan

The Club became aware this morning of the person who caused the damage to the fencing. After consultation with the driver and the police, the Club and the police are fully satisfied that the damage was done accidentally and was not the result of any deliberate or malicious act. The cost of repairs will be agreed by the Club and met by the car owners insurance.
The Club would like to place on record it's profound thanks to everyone who has sent messages of support and in many cases offers of help, both financial and material. This has been especially evident among the "Grassroots" of local football and indeed all over the country. Obviously we will not be accepting donations, but we still need volunteers to help run the Club and anyone with a little time on their hands and a wish to contribute in some small way to the Community is very welcome to join us.
So often the words "Social Media" conjure up negative reactions, but this episode has really demonstrated the power for good for which Social Media can be used.
Once again we thank everyone who has responded so positively to what at first looked like a bad experience but which has ended with a better outcome than we dared to hope for.
