Matches between the Wrens and the Dennyboys are usually high scoring affairs.

Rainworth Miners Welfare v Thackley.

Thackley travel to Nottinghamshire on Tuesday night for the rearranged Easter Monday fixture against Rainworth Miners Welfare. The Dennyboys took on the Wrens in February and in a high scoring game, scored six of the nine goals on offer that day, so will be hoping to come away from Kirklington Road with another three points.

Rainworth are undefeated in their last three games, whilst the Dennyboys have lost their last three matches, you have to go back to August to find the last time that happened. So, perhaps they should approach the game with caution.

The teams have played each other in the league on three occasions to date and all have been high scoring affairs. As noted already, there were nine goals in this season’s encounter. The previous two occasions were in the 2009/10 season, the year that the Wrens were promoted, Rainworth came to Bradford and won three two, whilst in the reverse fixture, Thackley won by five goals to one.

Let us hope for more goals on Tuesday night, the majority of course scored by the Dennyboys.
