Thackley take to the road on Wednesday night when they make the journey to the Windsor Foodservice Stadium to play Worksop Town. The Tigers are currently in second position in the league having won three of their four games to date. Their only defeat has come in their one home game against Clipstone but they have racked up an impressive fourteen goals in their three away fixtures. They were knocked out of the FA Cup by North West Counties side Abbey Hey in the opening round.
Last season, Worksop finished in runners up spot in the league and completed the double over Thackley winning 3-1 at home (I remember the night well and the most unhelpful match official I have ever met), and 4-2 at Dennyfield.
The Dennyboys will be hoping to bounce back from their poor performance against Retford on Saturday, but they will have to be at their very best, if they want to bring anything back from this match.
