Top of the table, it sounds good doesn’t it, ( I am writing this today because if Cleethorpes beat Handsworth tomorrow night they would go top), Thackley take on Worksop Town on Saturday, hoping that they can continue their unbeaten run.
Worksop dropped down to the Northern Counties East League a couple of seasons ago, and Thackley have yet to take a point from them. In the four league matches that the two have played the Tigers have come out on top each time. Hopefully, on Saturday this will be remedied.
On current form the Dennyboys are likely to start favourites, their last league defeat was back on the 15th October when AFC Mansfield beat them, since then they have taken nineteen points from the last twenty one. Worksop have gone five games without a win, although they did get a point at Maltby last week.
The Tigers are the best supported club in the league, so there is likely to be a bigger than average attendance at Dennyfield for the match.
We look forward to welcoming all from Worksop, and as we always say, may the best team win, as long as it is Thackley.
