With the new Evo-Stik League Southern Division One Central season just days away, Ashford Town (Middx) manager Paul Burgess has signed an additional four players after all of them put in impressive displays in pre-season.
Former Wycombe Wanderers defender Darrell Ellams joins the club from Wealdstone, where he was a Capital League championship winner.
He has also had spells with Enfield Town and Hampton & Richmond Borough.
Also arriving at the Robert Parker Stadium is right-sided defender Chris Robinson, who made twenty-nine appearances for Burnham last season, scoring once.
Robinson is joined in the squad by former AFC Hayes player Shane Gibson.
Completing the quartet of new arrivals is striker Joe Bennett, who was Hampton’s leading scorer at reserve team level last season and also appeared for the Beavers in the Blue Square Bet South.
Having represented the Middlesex FA, Bennett won the Middlesex Senior Cup last season, coming off the bench to play an influential role in the final as Hampton beat Wealdstone.
