Hoban signed for Valley from Blue Square Bet Premier side Kettering Town in February 2011. The Romanian-born youngster, who signed for the Poppies after being at the Football CV academy, impressed in his first start in the 4-0 win against Uxbridge before scoring his first goal in a victory at Aylesbury. Attack-minded Hoban notched seven goals in a dozen starts and two substitute appearances at the end of last season but his departure leaves Rugby boss Dave Stringer looking to add to his front-line options. He said: “We definitely need another forward as we only really have two out-and-out strikers now. We can employ others there but we are actively seeking to bring in someone else too.”
