The Reserves came away with a comfortable 2-1 victory. Again Manager Garry Cook made changes, giving starts to the impressive Shawn Foster and Lee Hamilton, he also started Greg Nutley up front with Russell Benham and it was those two that caused problems for the Tadley defence as soon as the 5th minute. It should of been 2-0 already by the time the hard working Gary Dredge opened the scoring with a well taken goal on 22 minutes. Russell Benham then doubled the lead after 30 minuteswith a powerful drive into the top corner to send Thatcham in at half time with a comfortable lead. The second half saw Cook ring the changes with Chris Corcoran, Lee Wheeler and Matt Madders all starting the half. By now Andy Tingle and Gianluca Riccio were controlling the centre of the park. More chances went begging as Thatcham turned the screw. With skipper Clive Mellett and Tom Willoughby solid at the heart of the defence, Keeper Steve Howe seemed more of a spectator. Some flowing moves started by Tom McClean down the right caused problems, but chances went begging and a wonder strike by a Tadley Substitute finished the game on a high for the hosts with a late consolation.
