Tuesday nights game went ahead despite the heavy fog. It was North Leigh who had the games first chance, a ball crossed in from the right wing found Kieron Sanders who had time to turn before shooting wide of the post.
Thatcham took the lead in the 7th minute when after a neat one two on the right hand side, Danny Williamson was played through and he took full advantage of North Leigh keeper Adam Lonsdale's slip to power the ball into the far corner of the net for 1-0.
North Leigh went on the attack, the ball played to Matty Taylor on the left hand side, he cut inside and found space but forced his shot wide of the upright.
North Leigh again attacked, Thatchams Man Of The Match Gareth Thomas being called into defensive action to cut out a dangerous through ball from Brian Bowles.
Thatcham won a throw in high up the field taken by Paul Taplin, he played to Sam Tucker who beat a defender before crossing in with Craig Hill controlling well before laying off to Aaron Parfitt, his effort going just wide of the near post.
Thatcham again attacked looking to build on their lead, a cross from the righ finding Graham Lewis, he saw his shot well blocked . With the ball falling back to Lewis he passed to Sam Tucker in space but his shot flew just over the cross bar.

Thatcham almost doubled their lead early in the second half, Danny Williamson's cross from the right deflected off the North Leigh keeper, the ball fell to Graham Lewis whos follow up was well blocked by a defender.
Thatcham won a free kick on the edge of the penalty area for a foul on Craig Hill. Aaron Parfitt stepped up for the free kick with his effort forcing a great diving save from Adam Lonsdale.
Thatcham had Paul Strudley to thank after North Leigh's Matty Taylor burst free of the defence to go one on one with Strudley, his effort was well kept out by Strudley.
North leigh attack down the left saw Michael Hopkins' cross find Matty Taylor but again his effort was well saved by Paul Strudley.
North Leigh were having a spell of pressure and in the 81st minute they had their equaliser. a long ball played forward down the left hand side found Michael hopkins and his deep cross found Joe Burnell who fired back across goal and into the far corner for 1-1.
Thatcham failed to recover from this setback and just two minutes later found themselves behind. Again a cross from the left this time find Andy Caton at the back post and he found the back of the net with a close range shot for 1-2.
Thatcham threw men forward as they now found themselves behind. Graham Lewis' pass found James Clark who beat a defender before firing just wide of the far post.
Thatcham had a chance late on when substitute Marc Piper was played through and hios low shot was somehow forced just wide by Adam Lonsdale.
