For the 2011/2012 Season the first team kit will be sponsored by Sport Shield. Sport shield have kindly provided the club with a new kit, plus if any policies are taken out from the football club they would then pass on 10% of any related premiums for our chairty.

"This is exciting new times for the club and the support from Sport shield will certainly help the club grow and develop, while looking stylish in our new kit. Having Sport Shield on board is a real coup for the club and I appreciate Ian Dawsons support for helping us establish a kit for the New first team squad and his support for the charity work we do" said Lee Quickmire Club Chairman

Sport Shield Ethos
We aim to raise awareness of the need for, and benefits of, personal income protection within the amateur sport community. We aim to help more people play sport with peace of mind rather than worry about getting injured. People who participate in sport are generally working people. As a result they most often have an income to protect, or most certainly outgoings to protect such as mortgage/rent payments, loan payments, bills, food cost etc. It is certainly fair to say that the majority of people who play sport do not have any personal cover in place, and should they suffer a broken bone or serious muscle/ligament damage then they will seriously struggle to make ends meet. Why not give yourself peace of mind, from as a little as 19p per day*, that your income is protected should you be unable to work?

Our aim as a company is to engage with local sports clubs and offer them incentives to help us get more people covered. Everyone can benefit from this situation, and when people who have taken out cover end up breaking bones and damaging ligaments then we will be able to help them get by while the are unable to work.

Local sports clubs often lack funds to buy even basic equipment, and by getting on board with us they can hopefully bring in a revenue stream which will mean that they can purchase the things that they need.

Note: Our policies also provide cover should you become ill in general, or have an accident which means that you are unable to work, not just through playing sport. We can also offer unemployment cover as well as accident and sickness cover.

Why is Sport Shield different?

We don't just arrange a policy for somebody after looking at available prices; we offer a full advice service to make sure that the policy you end up with is right for you

Our advisers have years of experience in the industry

Our advisers are all keen sports players and know in precise details the reasons why people need to take out personal insurance

We run the business by offering incentives to local clubs in that we want them to share in the benefits of their members taking out vital personal insurance. Not only does the individual player benefit from having a policy in place, the club can benefit massively by either a basic commission split, or in some cases through receiving sports kits and equipment.
