Fox Near their first cup final

Fox only need to avoid defeat in their last game

Fox only need to avoid defeat in their last game to progress to the Division Cup final.

With this Saturdays game against Moor Lane called off, due to the away side unable to field a side, Fox only need to avoid losing by 3 goals when Bishop Wilton visit New Earswick.

Though this Cup is thought of as a mickey mouse cup, Manager Phil Zealand wants to win and gain the Foxes first silverware in their brief history.

Phil says "Some clubs need to start somewhere and if it's winning a mickey mouse cup then so be it, we have to remember that we have played the runners up in the league and a team that has finished 3rd and beaten them both, it now sets a standard for next season. This club was getting hammered last season, with the worst score being 16-0, we have strengthened and this season finished in our highest postion and on the verge of a cup final. Quite a few of the reserves have played a part in this transformation, they have stepped in when the usual "first teamers" have been away and certainly don't look out of place. The club has gone from strength to strength and this season has set a platform for the next"

So now we have a little break, before Bishop come to town on the 28th April, but we will have a few friendlies in the meantime to keep our bodies match fit.
