History
The Gimps have been going for many years. Having been previiously called Trojans, FC Olympique and now the Gimps. The team has had a good history in the Bracknell Sports & Leisure Centre Sunday 6 aside League. The Gimps have won the 1st Division on numerous occasions (and when 1 division), won the cup on numerous occasions, having done the double twice, in back to back years.
Ruby "Nan" Pigford was one of our many supporters but was sadly taken from us in Sept 2008. We miss her deeply and wish she was still here, rubbing her lucky leg!
Darren Hatch, the league organiser has renamed the cup, "The Ruby Pigford Memorial Shield" for which we are extremely greatful, and we look forward to competing for "Nans" shield in the future
