The Gimps

Hi,

On behalf of myself, Pear and all the lads at FC Bullbrook and KFC Bullbrook I would just like to extend a huge thank you too all of you who gave your time and money, helping to make Friday such a great success.

The turnout was incredible and after the initial worry we were able to get an 11 a side game going which ended 3-3. It was played out in the right spirit with everybody playing to win but still remembering why we were there.

I personally would like to say a special thanks to Simon and the boys from The Gimps. There turnout was great and Simon helped us set the game up so thanks mate. We couldn’t of done it without you.

Thanks also to the boys from Guns, The Untouchable and Leisure who all helped out. We really appreciate it lads.

Ian and his two boys who were great and yet still managed to take all the stick (all in good humour of course).. Ian is used to that by now im sure. Cheers mate.

Finally Darren who sorted the pitch out for us free of charge and helped put together a side for us to play. Also having to put up with god knows how many emails from me during last week although im sure he is used to that!! Thanks Daz

In total we raised just short of £300 which is great. As you know Pear was in a very bad way and was originally given a 60% chance of losing his leg. Obviously his work has been affected as well as his football so any money raised will be a great help to Pear.

He was very touched and sends his thanks to you all.

It was a great night all round with a good game followed by a few beers in the bar (some more than others Mr Stubbings??).

So thanks again to everybody who got involved. It just goes to show what sort of teams we have playing in our league. Long may it continue.
