The Legends Cricket Club was formed over 3 pints in the Westhill Inn in the dark evenings of February 2009. Dougie, Russ and Gilly attended and chewed the fat of the lack of people attending Tuesday nets at their various Clubs. It should have been 4 pints but The Hero didn't stand his hand!!!! It was decided to form the a Team called the Legends as Tuesday nets were wearing thin and the jibes of a younger generation suggested that a bunch of "auld mannies" couldn't play cricket anyway and wouldn't win a thing. It was also another excuse to get out of the house and avoid shopping at ASDA. As history now dictates, The "auld mannies" not only won the League at the first attempt but shut some irritating mouths at the same time.
The Legends play out of the wonderfully picturesque Allan Park Stadium which has a 15000 spectator capacity on the East Bank and seating for 12 on the MacDougall path.
