With a full squad, including a goalkeeper and 3 subs this week Thirsk Ladies 4 took on top of the league Northallerton 2.
In a very fast paced competitive match Thirsk went ahead in the first half from a well-executed short corner. With play moving from end to end both teams looked dangerous with the possibility of more goals to come.
After what was probably a stern half time talk Northallerton came out quick and dominant, scoring an equaliser through open play. They kept the pressure on but our defence stayed strong and with both teams having a couple of chances to score the game was great entertainment for those watching however the match ended at 1-1.
If you had just arrived at the final whistle you would be forgiven for thinking Thirsk had won as there was much celebration and whooping at drawing against top of the league Northallerton who have only lost 1 and drawn 4 this season.
Everyone battled hard and so player of the match was shared by all.
