Fielding a VERY young squad, and travelling to Bingley Bees. The team arrived at a very cold, but bright Titus Salt School.
Everyone played brilliantly, and caused the oppositions defence a lot of problems, with young pace and slick stick skills proving too much for the opposition.
A first goal coming quite quickly with the forwards super hungry for goals. 1st half finished 2-0. Second half started with a beautiful reverse hit from Holly just going high of the goal. This certainly put the opposition in a spin, and making Thirsk youngsters more determined to continue with this pressure. Minutes later Holly scoring from the same technique, then Minnie showing her reverse hit was just as good.
Georgie, Yasmin and Poppy all linking brilliantly on the right and moving off the ball with ease. Lynne able to hold and disperse the ball into good spaces. This was a great team effort, especially as this was a very different squad out for the 1st time together.
Jess was very strong in midfield. Taking every tackle and pushing the ball forward.
Jade holding in defence with some great well timed tackles. Making Ellie’s job easier, not much to do today for Ellie, but solid saves when needed.
Olivia, supportive with some good advice on the pitch for the youngsters guiding the girls and covering them brilliantly.
Cab's last game of the season pushing her on to the attacking 23? plus getting a beautiful assist for Minnie’s goal.
Jo getting the timing wrong and ending up with a 30sec cameo appearance. Bonus to that was, no time to make a mistake.
