It was a sunny day in Leeds, when......

The under 10 boys played out 5 games in the A division on Sunday 15th October. A squad of 10 made up the A team, but we had to cancel the B team as there were not enough players turned up!
The opposition teams were Harrogate, City of York, Sheffield, Leeds Adel and Ben Rhydding. Thirsk did not achieve a reputation for scoring but were very solid in defence. The results were four draws, all 0 - 0 and one loss against City of York, 3 - 0. Although there was some dispute over one of the goals being struck outside the D. However the boys remain in the A division coming 4th in the group. Well done to them all for really putting the opposition forwards under pressure any time they ventured into the Thirsk D. We came close to scoring a few times but either the goal keeper was in the right place or the shot was stopped by a defender.
Thanks to the parents who did make the journey; the weather was a great consolation for travelling. Also thanks to Ewan for umpiring and organising the players.
