With a new structure and a renewed sense of purpose, the thirds traveled to Leeds University to what we expected to be a hard match. We were not wrong. It was hugely demanding from start to finish but all sections of the team performed magnificently. The defence held firm despite plenty of strong attacks from the opposition conceding only once from a penalty corner, the mid field hunted all the balls down relentlessly, working together and sending them up to the forwards who managed to convert 2 into goals. It is testimony to the team work and the effort that everyone put in that we had 9 separate nominations for player of the match. But vote went to - Hannah Slater.
We came away with a well deserved 2-1 win. Fantastic achievement everyone - well done!
