A birthday treat for a Thirsk player.

Thirsk Ladies 2s hosted a home game today against Harrogate 4s. Thirsk started the game as they meant to go, with forward duo Bev Petty and Jane Holmes working well in tandem down the right side causing problems for Harrogate's defence from the start. The only goal of the game was scored by a strike from Bea Bell, when Summer Marshall drove the ball all the way from the half way line. Birthday girl Izzy Dwyer had a cracking game in midfield paired along side Helen King who brought a solid performance in defence. Harrogate only worried Thirsk's defence on one occasion, and the threat was soon quelled by Thirsk keeper Bethan Wright who charged out of the goal and cleared the ball top D. Player of the match was awarded to Summer Marshall and Tart to Izzy Dwyer.
