Well done Niaha and Josie on another set of clean sheets. It is not easy at the back staying focused but you both were superb. Great to see you looking up and making decisions based on what is in front of you. Thank you Emilia today. You looked solid in goal and made that all important save.
Up front today it was great to see all the forwards score. Violet got her first goal for Thirsk, well done and it was great to see Keira and 'T' slot home some goals. I think it is excellent they all can play in the different positions up front and know what to do. You were all fab.
Thank you Katie for playing on what I know is a bad foot and down that right wing once again you were hot. You were the managers player of the day. We should also mention Poppy who played very well in the midfield scoring some great strikes from short corners.
For the next round we need to work on defending shorts and out positions. Who runs 1 and 2 and who is on the posts and pads.
We have had lots of praise from the others coaches on the girl's confidence to play it round the back and they should be very proud of all they have achieved. It does not matter if we make the odd mistake let us keep playing that way.
