Lee Tryner handed a debut to new signing from Glapwell Yoandry Depass with other new addition Stuart Grainger on the bench along with Retford United loanee Ollie Chappell who has returned to the club after injury. Thoresby started with a high tempo but failed to break down the visitors in the last third, then Hutton Cranswick keeper Leon Sewell was given a straight red card for handling outside the box. Depass on the left side of midfield was enjoying a fine debut and his surging run after 23 seconds of the second half saw him square to Gavin King to tap home. Depass could have scored himself but was thwarted by the visitors stand in keeper when through one on one. Liam Mason missed a great chance to extend Thoresby's lead before another fine Depass run saw him unselfishly pass to Josh Brentnall to make it 2-0. Stuart Green was given a straight red card after an altercation with Steve Chapman who suffered the same fate and sub Chappell almost marked his home debut with a goal when his volley thundered back off the crossbar. Thoresby line up: Smith, Parnwell, Green, Foster, Mason, Panting, Adcock, Buchanan, King, Brentnall, Depass. subs: Etches, Chappell, Bowen, Grainger.
