Gloucester Old Players visit Thornbury

1 year ago By Dave Fox

On Saturday 25th a group of 100 or so walkers from Gloucester Former Players will be at Thornbury as part of the 125 years of Kingsholm celebrations.

Thornbury play host to Gloucester Former Players who are walking from Kingsholm to celebrate the 125th Anniversary of the opening of the Kingsholm ground. The original plan had been to walk to Thornbury, stay over at the club then continue to Ashton Gate on Sunday for the Bristol v Gloucester match. Unfortunately the broadcasters have insisted the fixture be switched to the Friday evening so the second part of the walk has been abandoned but they are still walking to Thornbury to raise funds for local charities.

There will be live music at the club during the evening to entertain the walkers and Thornbury members. It should be a great evening of singing and chatting about rugby.
