Owen has been refereeing for 5 seasons and is currently an RFU Match Official on the National Panel of Match officials, making him one of the top match officials in the country. Owen can be found within the National League structure on a weekend, and being involved in the top tier of British University Rugby, the BUCS Super Rugby. He is currently the Training & Development officer for South Yorkshire Referee's Society and head of the Young Match Official's programme for South Yorkshire.
