Collingham U15 V Thornes U15

2 months ago By Mark Parsons

Great start for Thornes Under 15's.

Thornes had a difficult season in a new league last year, so it was great to see them bounce back in the first league game of the new season.

Thornes were on the front foot from the kick-off, seeing them opening the scoring and it wasn’t long before Thornes netted their second goal.

It was good to see the team working hard for each other and they deservedly went into a 3-0 lead. Thornes defence was strong in the first half, with not much to do for the goalkeeper and keeping a clean sheet at halftime.

Collingham came out strong in the second half, which saw Thornes work a bit harder and their keeper having to make a few good saves to keep out the home side. Thornes once again got in their stride and extended their lead to 4-0, as the game went on Thornes played some great football, which saw them score 4 more goals to finish the game 8-0 to Thornes.

Goal scorers Aaron Blyth (1) Bailey Hall (4) and Kieran Lawn (3)

Lala's Man of the match was given to the whole team for a great team performance

Well done lads keep it up for the rest of the season.
