Thornes Juniors defeated local Rivals Crofton Juniors Fc 5-0 at home to go up to 5th in Div 1 of the Garforth League.

After a shakey start, Thornes finally went ahead when Joe Craig crashed home a cross from short range.

Alex Bailey Lee added a second ten minutes later when he forced the ball home from close range.

In-form Eddie Morton made it 3-0 with a fierce free kick from outside the box for the second week running.

Luke Mcgrath added a fourth in the second half after weaving between two defenders and drilling the ball home, and Joe Craig got his second to make it 5-0 when he was first to the ball from a corner which he drilled home.

Newstrack Newsagents man of the match went to Will Burton Laws for a very composed performance in the heart of the Thornes defence.
