Thornes managed to maintain their lead and went into the half time interval with a hard fought 1-0 advantage.
After the break Ripon came out strong and quickly levelled the game. Thornes lost the ball in their opponents half and Ripon capitalised with a couple of incisive passes leaving their striker to slot home. Ripon continued to pile on the pressure getting on top of the game and soon after scored a second. They capitalised further on this dominance, adding a third and a fourth in quick succession.
