Just as the game itself first saw the light of day at a school, Rugby, so our own club was born on school premises, in a classroom at Baines Endowed School.
In 1927 several Fleetwood Rugby Union Club players who lived in Thornton were keen on forming a club at Thornton-Cleveleys. A ground on School Rd was obtained and ready for the official opening on Wednesday evening September 21st 1927.
