Let's Talk About Greek Night Mythology!
TCRUFC went all Greek on Saturday night, dining at 'The Med' restaurant in Blackpool; the chosen venue for another successful social event.
Over 30 people graced the establishment for Greek Night; the event organised by Sarah and Alex of 'The Property Scene'. People of all ages, shapes and sizes donned their bed linen and tied up their sandals ready for an exciting night ahead.
'The Med' provided a 3 course Greek banquet to prepare the bellies for dancing...and an English main for the more unadventurous types! This went down rather well with the help of a few accompanied beverages and the Greek Gods and Goddesses did their very best to drink the bar dry!
Sahara - the extremely flexible resident Belly Dancer - kept the crowd entertained, more so the men than the women i'm hastened to add! A few lucky candidates were selected, or rather eagerly volunteered themselves, to get up and try their hands/mid-drifts at the truffle shuffle! I'm sure i heard Len Goodman shout 'Seveeeennnn' in appreciation or maybe i need my ears testing!
The DJ's were spinning records all night and this got everyone in the mood for a dance or two, whether Zorba the Greek would approve of our renditions is a matter for the Gods to decide!
All in all an interesting and exciting night to attend, a big thanks to everyone that came. Plus a special mention to Sarah and Alex for pushing the event and 'The Med' for their hospitality.
