Buxton were victorious earlier in the season beating Thornton 41-5 as they went on an 8-match winning streak. However, their form hasn't been the same since.

Nevertheless, Buxton are a strong outfit and could go to 2nd place if they win on Saturday. Thornton-Cleveleys firsts need to conjure up some magic to change their own fortunes and fight to survive in Division 2.

Thornton-Cleveleys 2nd XV travel to Preston Grasshoppers to play their 6ths. The 2nds are looking to avenge a 5-10 defeat to Grashoppers earlier in the season, and also hope to keep their promotion bid on track.

Preston have won 5 out of 6 of their 2009 games... their only loss being a narrow 8-7 defeat at Furness. It looks to be a close contest. If Thornton win they will move 6 points clear of Preston... if Preston win they move level on points with Thornton.

It's all to play for in Division 5 North.
