This weekend see's two competitive Thornton teams play in the last 16 of their respective cup competitions. The 1st team face a tough trip to the delightful De La Salle and the 2nds entertain Macclesfield 4ths at home. To ensure both games go ahead, we would like ALL PLAYERS to chant to the sun god Raa and pray for defrosting of pitches.....
The 1st team are missing several key players this weekend including influential captain Chris Brannigan who is watching DVD's in south shore. Sonny Flood is also missing from 1st team action as he has to work. He is available for the 2nd team though.

Pete Smythe starts in the back row with Lee Norris and Pete Rae. Dan Powell returns at scrum half with Dave Harrison starting at 10.
