5. Matt Teale

Matt Teale played for the club for 3 seasons around 2006. A very correct batsman whose first love was Worcestershire County Cricket Club had a nice off drive and played for the first team. Sometimes he would open the batting but always favoured the number 4 position.

He worked in television and after more than a decade behind the camera, Matt stepped in front of it in 2005 as a sports reporter and presenter for ITV regional news programme, 'Central Tonight' in Birmingham. After two years, during which time he won a coveted Royal Television Society presenting award, Matt left to be the main anchor of newly formed and ultimately ill-fated rolling sports news channel, Setanta Sports News.

Matt has combined regular returns to ITN and 'London Tonight' with work for Sky News and covered the 2010 World Cup from South Africa for Bloomberg. In February 2012, Matt returned to his spiritual home of ITV in the Midlands as one of the main anchors of their flagship news programme, 'Central Tonight'.

He returned back to the South Midlands where no doubt he is scoring many more runs.
