The Long Eaton YMCA team had a splendid win at Thrumpton

Batting first the YMCA only managed to compile 52, Burton and Newsum opening the Innings contributed a useful stand scoring 14 and 15 respectively.

The other batsmen in the team only knocked up 21 runs between them. G Wilcox was unfortunately struck by a rising ball and placed "hors de combat" for some time.

Thrumpton gave a poor exhibition of batting, 5 wickets were down for just 12 runs and only 24 had been registered when the Innings closed.

W Summers was the pick of the bowlers with 5 wickets for 4 runs and A Green took 3 for 12.
