We are delighted to announce that Thrumpton Cricket Club has received its ECB Clubmark Re accreditation after several weeks and months of hard work!

What is Clubmark I hear you ask?

ECB Clubmark is an accreditation scheme for cricket clubs and is licensed from Sport England as part of their wider Clubmark scheme.

ECB Clubmark shows that a club is sustainable, well run and provides the right environment for its members. Clubmark accreditation also means your club is recognised as a safe, rewarding and fulfilling place for participants of all ages, as well as assuring parents and carers that they are choosing the right option for their young people.

To obtain accreditation, clubs are asked to provide evidence that they meet a series of criteria. This is done by loading evidence onto an online portal and by demonstrating good practice at a site visit conducted by an allocated Club Support Officer.

Accreditation lasts for 3 years at which point the club will complete a re-accreditation exercise. In the intervening 2 years there is a requirement to complete an annual health check to maintain accreditation.

There are currently over 1800 accredited cricket clubs across England & Wales, with a further circa 250 working through the process.

After several weeks and months of hard work we are delighted to have received our re-accreditation.

As a small village club we are very proud to have achieved this and are one of only a handful of clubs in the immediate area that has reached this level.
