Thrumpton Cricket Club

The Rt Reverend Paul Butler, the Bishop of Southwell while visiting the village will be at the same time visiting the Cricket Club. It is believed he is interested in the Kwiks and Junior set up of the club. The game sees the 2nd team at home to Ruddington and could not be more appropriate as both teams are in the diocese

The Bishop enjoys the music of Coldplay, Genesis, U2, Elbow, Handel, Vivaldi, Rutter and much else besides. He gently supports Tottenham Hotspur football club. He enjoys some gardening, walking and reading.

Our matchball sponsor for the day is Rosemary Small. Born in the village and a regular avid supporter of the club, Rosemary can be seen down at the Badger Oval at times when the Kwiks are training on Thursdays

Sunday sees the visit of Mount Sorrell Cricket club and our matchball sponsor is Plants by Post who have kindly supplied the club with 5 quality flower tubs and a a selection of geraniums for the pavilion.
