Having joined the league in 1969, Thrumpton CC played it's first evening league home games on Victoria Embankment.

Having moved grounds from Twentylands to the Hall grounds the club decided to enter the Nottingham Evening League Division 3A in 1969, a run of 15 years up until the 1984 season.

In the first season 1969 they played 11 games winning 7 and losing 4 finishing 2nd in the league and being promoted to Division 2.

The new square was in its early days and because of this it was decided to play league home games on Victoria Embankment.

Latest 2x2 black and white photographs come from a game played at Victoria Embankment.

Photo 1 comes with seated from the left Beattie Smith, Walter Pepper, Dick Chettle and one other.

You can also see a photo of the game in progress in the Thrumpton Historical Photo's Album.
