After a tough week of fixtures, Thurnby Nirvana remain top of the EMCL.

A challenging opening three fixtures in March saw Thurnby travel to Borrowash, followed by a midweek visit of Blaby and ending with today's journey to Stapenhill.

The first of the thre games against fellow title contenders ended in a 2-1 defeat despite Thurnby taking a 1st minute lead through Reece Morris.

On Tuesday night Thurnby welcomed local rivals Blaby to Daykn road. A tight game saw the points shared, Blaby took the lead with 15minutes to play, however Matt Melbourne's wonderful header in the 94th minute prevented defeat.

Today Thurnby Nirvana travelled to second place Stapenhill, where defeated would have put Stapenhill in a strong position as they have a game in hand. However a first half strike from Matt Melbourne and a rear goal from Sean Doy three important points were secured. Victory leave Thurnby Nirvana seven points clear of Stapenhill.
