Waltham Abbey and Tilbury share a Goalless draw

Waltham Abbey 0 Tilbury 0 (Att 91)

Waltham Abbey and Tilbury shared a goalless draw in an uninspiring game on Tuesday night. Tilbury went into the game with Conor Mead and Harry Cook replacing Andy Edmunds and Joe Nightingill. In a scrappy opening, Harry Cook headed wide as Tilbury looked for an opening. Waltham Abbey's first attempt of the evening came on 22 when Darelle Russell beat the offside trap only to see Clarke Bogard make a fine save. The only other effort of a disappointing half was Jack Carlile seeing his effort blocked on the line.

Entertainment was at a premium in the second period with the only efforts coming in the last minute when Bogard again saved his side. The final attack of the game fell to Tony Martin who was played in from the right an his hard and high cross was almost dropped into the net by Antony Page.

The result sees Tilbury go into the weekend in 7th place with 30 points. The Dockers return to home league action on Saturday, when they welcome local rivals Romford.
