A great second half performance for Tilbury sees them beat Potters Bar Town 0-2.

Tilbury travelled to Potters Bar with a young side and left with a well deserved 3 points.
Ben Crooks returned to the side in place of unavailable Joe Nightingill and Tony Jacobs replaced the injured Danny Francis. Tilbury also fielded 2 young players on the bench who both made there debuts late on.

For the second successive match, it was a game of two halves. Potters Bar looked the most likely to score in the first period with Gary Wharton hitting the post after a mistake in the Tilbury defence after only 2 minutes. Jose Espinosa then shot at Marrable on 22 before Rimmel Daniel almost putting through his own net on 33. Before the break Tilbury slowly came back into the game with Tony Jacobs shooting from 30 yards before captain Jack Carlile shooing a whisker away.
Tilbury came out after the break full of energy and it took only 3 minutes to stamp there authority on the game. Tony Jacobs burst of speed into the box saw him uphended and gave the referee no option to award a penalty. Sam Cutler slotted home comfortably to the keepers left. On 56 Tilbury should have gone 2 up but as Emiel Aiken went to shoot the ball bobbled and his shot went well wide. Midway through the half Tom Wraight had an effort that was well saved. Tibury played some good football and continued to dominate the game and eventually they broke through with only 2 minutes remaining when a Tom Wraight corner fell to the feet of Shamir Mullings to score his first for the club. It gave manager Paul Vaughan a chance to blood 2 youngsters in the final minutes with Blackman and Joynes making there senior debuts.

After the game manger Paul Vaughan commented " Great result from the boys. Delighted with some of the performances. We went with 8 players under the age of 21 and they showed there maturity. It is a good reflection on the successful Youth set we have"

The result leaves the Dockers in 8th place but pulling away from the mid table sides. Tilbury welcome Brentwood Town to Chadfields on Saturday.
