Chatham Town 3 Tilbury 0 Att 142

Tilbury had a disappointing afternoon in Kent on Bank Holiday Monday, losing out to mid table side Chatham Town. Tilbury made one change from there success against Enfield Town with Gary Skerritt returning to the side for the injured Steve Good.
Tilbury opened brightly with Alex Read going close from a King header. On 13 the hosts took the lead when Potter crossed for Lloyd Blackman, who headed home unmarked.
Before half hour Read had his effort well saved by Roberts and Gary Henty fired just over the top. Chatham had two chances in a minute when Blackman and Jeffrey had efforts. Just before the break Chatham moved the ball well and played in Lee Hales who shot wide from 20 yards.
On 44 Chatham increased their lead when Gary Tilley was played in to score.

On 52 Tilbury had a good shout for a penalty when Conor Mead drilled the ball into the box, but the referee did not agree. On 58 Hill rattled the Tilbury upright with a bullet header. Tilbury’s only late chance fell to Emiel Aiken who lobbed over from a Barnes through ball. Chatham confirmed the points on 89 when Glen Tilley ran half the length of the pitch rounded James Marrable for an excellent solo effort.

The result leaves Tilbury in 6th place and other results were kind.
