Tilbury started the better and a mistake from the Stanway defence saw Ben Smith through on goal and finished well on 8 minutes. Seven minutes later, Tilbury nearly doubled their lead when a good move saw first team Tom Wraight pull off a wonderful save of Perry in the Stanway goal. However, two minutes later and Wraight had his goal when a cross from the left saw it travel into the back of the net leaving Perry red faced.

Just after the half hour mark the Dockers made sure of progression when Smith won back the ball for the Dockers before knocking the ball past the defender and slotting the ball past the on-coming goalkeeper to get his second and the Dockers third goal of the game.

On 48 minutes, Tilbury nearly extended the lead when Ryan Blackman put the ball over the top to Mike Anamasion but his strike could only rebound off the crossbar to safety. However, the Dockers added a fourth in front of a good crowd when a Joe Obersteller cross was headed towards goal by skipper Ben Crooks only to see Perry tip it away to Mike Anamasion whose shot rebounded off the bar to Osei-Obengo whose shot was closed out by Perry but was followed up finally by Ben Smith to complete his hat-trick.

Stanway got a consolition on 79 minutes when a slip by Ben Crooks allowed Maina to lob Driscoll from 25 yards. The Dockers later added a fifth in the 90th minute when Sebestian Osei-Obengo was put through and finished well past the on-coming goalkeeper to the delight of the Tilbury followers.
