The club are sad to announce the Death of Fred Ryder. A Tilbury man, and long serving player through the 1950’s and early 1960’s. Fred mainly operated on the Left Wing for Tilbury, but also played on the opposite flank and at Centre Forward on occasions. He was a regular goalscorer, and was a member of the side that won successive London League Championships as well as the Club’s first ever triumph in the Essex Senior Cup, when he was in the side that defeated Walthamstow Avenue 4-1 after extra time in the 1960/61 Final.
