A dubious award of a penalty was the difference between the sides.

Tilbury 0 Needham Market 1 (Att 65)

Tilbury were beat by a strong Needham Market side on Tuesday, but will be disappointed in the manner it came. Lamar Johnson returned between the sticks for a second spell with the Dockers and Jimmy Cook returned at left back.
In a lively opening Needham looked the more likely to score with the dangerous Sam Newson having some good chances. On 35 Needham were awarded a questionable penalty when Luke Ingram was adjudged to have been pulled in the box by Emiel Aiken and with no appeals, the referee pointed to the spot. Kemal Izzet smashed down the middle to score the only goal of the game. Needham continued to dominate before the break with Brothers and Newson going close. On half time, Newson had a good effort to score but was denied by Lamar Johnson. After the break Morphew had a header just wide before Westlake hit over. Needham were first to any second ball and giving the ball little to Tilbury. Tilbury's first main effort of the evening was when Richmond poked close to goal after a goalmouth scramble. On 74 Brothers made a very late challenge on Johnson and was only given a yellow card. Tilbury did start to create some openings with Richmond going close before a late Tony Martin header that just went over the top.
The result saw Needham Market return to the top of the league.

The result sees Tilbury remain in 12th place.

After the game Tilbury Manager Gary Henty commented "
I felt that we wasn't at our best against a very good Needham Market side but the match was settled by a disputed penalty. We will look to bounce back Saturday against Great Wakering
