Tilbury scored early and late in this Ryman North encounter, but this was not enough to claim any points at The Walk.

Kevin Malthouse returned to the side and made an instant impact on the game. After only 5 minutes, following good forward play by Steve Good, Malthouse beat the defender and crossed for Emiel Aiken who nipped in to score. A minute later, Aaron Matthews was played in and hit the bar. On 10 and the visitors dominating, Malthouse again crossed and Matthews shot just wide of the upright.

In the 21st minute of the game, there was a turning point. Anton Agdomar the home striker was sent off for an off the ball incident against Paul King. This seemed to help Potters Bar more than Tilbury and the home side came into the game. On 29 James Marrable made a good save from Louis Collins. On 32 Potters Bar were back on level terms when Tom Pett stabbed home. On 40 they took the lead, with the ball bouncing around the edge of the area, Fabian Simms volleyed home.

Potters Bar came out for the second half and took the game to Tilbury and continued to hold the lead. With 5 minutes to go, the home side claimed the points when a long ball was picked up by James Gershfield who beat the defender to score. In the final seconds Jack West scored after good build up play. Tilbury pushed for an equaliser and home keeper Bennett had to be at his best to save.

The Dockers return to league action on Tuesday, when they entertain high flying Harlow Town 7.45pm, before they have a run of away games.
