“The 18 man squad is looking good at the moment and we can’t wait to get into the stride of things when the league starts” Said Hornsby
Q- How many games have the lads played so far and what other games are planned prior to the season start- Hornsby was asked
“We have played 3 games so far. Dagenham & Redbridge beat us soundly to be far, although a lot of that was done to fitness.
We also played Colebrook Royals and delivered a better performance. Aldridge, Burgess and Geeves were amongst the scorers.
Our fitness improved when we played Thurrock and secured a 4-2 win. Age, Aldridge and Burgess were once again amongst the scorers.
We still have 2 or 3 fixtures to play before the real test begins”
Q- Tell us about the management team
“Myself and Assistant Manager Dean Geeves will be looking after team affairs. We are lucky to have the services of Lyndsay Patch as our very own treasurer”
Q- Finally Terry, What are the expectations for the season
“We are under no illusions it will be tough! Most of these players have played and been successful in other leagues they have played in, so I suppose the expectations are quite high. You never know, in 3-4 years time, many of these lads could be putting on the black & white shirt for the first team”
