Tilbury 3 3 Att 65

Tilbury were left disappointed by earning only point against nine men in a game that the visitors could have taken all three.

On a damp afternoon, Paul Vaughan made 4 changes following last weeks defeat at , including a debut to Eljay Worrell.
For the second week running, Tilbury went behind early. On 3 Dagher broke and struck the post only for Josh Bonnett to follow up and score. Tilbury did wake up and Aiken was just over the top from a Cook pass. On 17 Tilbury thought they were back in the game when Harry Cook struck the inside of the post and away to safety. A minute later a Worrell corner was met by Cook who headed and hit Alex Read on the line before being cleared. Tilbury's possession eventually told and on 20 a quick free kick from captain Gary Henty found Alex Read who was unmarked to slot home. On 35 Aiken's headed was goal bound, but was handled by Dauti on the line, giving the referee an easy job to dismiss the player. The resulting penalty was smashed home by Sam West. Tilbury were dictating proceedings and on 40 went further in front when a long ball was picked by Read, with the defender slipping, Cook was left on his own to score.

Waltham Forest regrouped at half time and came out the better side. Within 2 minutes, the effective Josh Bonnett found Joel Palmer who scored. Worrell on his debut had a low effort just wide on 53. Within seconds Waltham Forest were dealt a further blow when Cook was played in, bearing down on goal, when Andras Molnar brought him down. The referee dismissed him for a professional foul. With the 2 man advantage, Tilbury did not hold the ball and only had one clear chance when Bradley Barnes crossed for Aiken who headed over from 5 yards. This did not deter Forest and got a deserved equaliser on 85 when Manu Dagher scored from a goalmouth scramble. Dagher had a chance on 90 when he blazed over and in the 5th minute of added time, Shittu should have grabbed the points but was wide.

The result took Tilbury down to 5th.
