Tilbury hosted AFC Hornchurch for 5th Pre Season friendly Wednesday 1st Sept 7pm K.O. The Dockers got off to worst possible when a mix up between the keeper and left back gave Hornchurch a great start in the early minuets.
As the game went on the Dockers started to get there passing going and had a couple of early chances. The front paring of Hornchurch caused problems from the start and it wasn’t long before AFC got their second.
The second half the Dockers had a chance to get a goal back but this was squandered and the chance went begging. As the game went on it looked always likely that AFC would further their lead. A deflected goal made it 3-0 to Hornchurch which they toughly deserved on the night.

We underperformed tonight against a very good side, hence a 3-0 drubbing. I am disappointed in the way we went about our business but we have to move on as we have a much harder game at the weekend.
