Tilbury's U18 show their class with a 3 nil win over Aveley. From the off the Dockers showed last year’s champions Aveley his would be a tough afternoon. In the first 20 mins chances fell to Barnwell, Wraight & Burkit which should of put the Dockers 3 up. Aveley did threaten at set pieces but rarely caused a threat other then set pieces. The Dockers ahd a corner whick Barnwell was first to react to to put the Dockers one nil up.

The Dockers Midfield of Copper & Hood along with the wing play of Wraight and Pitty were a constant threat. Just before the break a crucial double save from Banner kept it 1-0 to into the break.
The first 15 minutes of the second half Aveley lift their game and really tested the Dockers with a series of corners and tree kicks. But the back four of Ambrose, Mcleavey, Anrold & Sumutt stood strong and weathered the storm.
Changes were made Jacobs for Burkitt and Hardy for Summut. The changes made a instant impact which saw Jacobs run onto Hardy’s through pass only to have a goal disallowed. Jacobs again broke free only to see his shot well saved by the goal keeper. Tilbury applied pressure of their own and a good individual goal from Barnwell who got his second see the Dockers go 2 up. By now Aveley had gone and Dockers won a series of corners. 10 minutes to go Mcleavey was first to react for a corner to get the Dockers 3rd Goal.
