Dockers draw against East Thurrock

Tilbury hosted a fancied East Thurrock side for their 6th pre-season friendly. Within seconds the Dockers went behind when a Ariel ball wasn’t dealt with which resulted with the ball being looped over the keeper.
Tilbury soon from they were in a very physical game and had to adapt very quickly. After 10 minutes the Dockers started to get a grip of the game and had a couple of half chances. After a 2O minuet onslaught by the Dockers Barnwell AKA Freddie latched onto a ball from Wraight to round the keeper from a difficult angle to make it 1-1. Within minutes defender Ambrose headed the ball over the line for the Dockers but the goal wasn’t given. East Thurrock seemed to regroup and again from a long ball the Dockers were undone going 2-1 behind.
After the break Tilbury looked far the better side. The back four were strong, the midfield worked tirelessly , and the front boys now started to cause problems. Chances fell to Burkett, Hood and trialist knight but neither was taken. After a quick interchange of passing Freddie lost his marker to score a second which made it 2-2. By this time it was all Tilbury resulting with a fine left foot finish from Tom Wraight. At 3-2 East Thurrock started to apply pressure and minuets from time a deflect goal levelled the score.
