Dockers Finish In Style
Witham Town 0 Tilbury 2 (Att 122)
Two goals from Harry Norman saw Tilbury finish the season in style and making it four successive wins.
Joe Keith made 3 changes with captain Jack Carlile, Harry Norman and Dwade James returning to the side.
On a cloudy and drizzly afternoon, the game opened with an end to end encounter.
The first chance of the game fell to striker Siju Odelusi who was bearing down on goal before being denied by a fine last gaps tackle from Tyler Corlett.
Tilbury did take the lead on 30 minutes when a cross fell to Dwade James on the edge of the area and controlled to Harry Norman who rifled into the roof of the net for a fine goal.
Dwade James then saw a deflected shot well parried by Bobby Mason from a Jack Carlile pass.
Tilbury went into the break leading and would be happy with there defending. On the hour Jack Carlile had a shot that was deflected wide for a corner, before the home side pressured the Dockers for a good period. Substitute Chinedu Osadebe will disappointed not to score when he was on his own in the six yard box and Clarke Bogard smothered at the vital time.
With 8 minutes to go, Tilbury confirmed the points when a good run from Dwade James, crossed to Jack Carlile who unselfishly laid the ball to Harry Norman to coolly slot past Mason.
In the final minute Toby Aromolaran crossed for substitute Rujorn Tuitt whose directed header was saved.
The result sees Tilbury finish 17th and rebuilding plans for next season now start.
