Galley tells us how he's been getting on

For those that don't know as we'd had enough of Ed we sent him to the other side of the world to work on his game (both on and off the pitch). Here is a brief insight into how Ed's been getting on:

I've been playing for Guild Saints cc who play in the Geelong Cricket Association Division 3. The team has struggled to put consistent performances together and is looking at finishing the year towards the lower end of the table, mainly due to a lack of strength in the bowling department which I have contributed to by getting myself injured in only the 3rd game of the season so have been unable to bowl properly since. Don't panic Browny, I'm OK now and expect to be fully fit for the start of the Timperley season!

Due to my injury I've been playing as a batsmen where I've contributed at times and pulled together some decent knocks which I hope to build on this coming season. Batting has taken a bit of getting used to because of how flat all the tracks are in Australia. Very different to playing at Stockport Road!

The experience of living and playing cricket for 6 months in Australia has been unbelievable, I'm only 10 minutes from some of the best beaches in the world, plenty of bars and plenty going on. I've met plenty of top blokes who have definitely become life long mates.

I look forward to catching up with you all when I get back.

Cheers,

Ed
