'Timperley Heroes' vs Scotland tourists
First appearance of 'Timperley Heroes' in friendly against Scotland tourists
Timperley Heroes made their debut appearance, resplendent in their pink Frank Sidebottom themed kit in a pre-season friendly against a touring Scotland Team.
Initially this looked like being a close match as Heroes seemed to be trying to live up to their comedian homage. However, somewhere at the beginning of the second quarter, the Heroes seemed to collectively decide that they could win the match if they actually played lacrosse as a team. From that point on, the outcome was never in doubt as the Heroes pulled ever further ahead.The small core of Timperley / Heroes supporters were rewarded with a 13 - 6 victory for Heroes.
